Kilimanjaro
Kilimanjaro National Park covers an area of 652 square miles (1,688 square km) and includes the whole of Mount Kilimanjaro and the surrounding montane forest. Mount Kilimanjaro standing at an impressive 19,341 feet (5,895 metres) is not only Africa’s tallest mountain but also the world's largest freestanding mountain. Kilimanjaro is made up of three volcanic cones - Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira. Mawenzi and Shira are extinct, meanwhile Kibo, the highest peak remains dormant.

Lake Natron
Lake Natron is far off the beaten track and receives very few visitors. This spectacular area forms a part of the immense East African Rift Valley and Lake Natron sits at the base of an active volcano, Oldonyo Lengai, which translates to “Mountain of God” in the Maasai language. The area is extremely dusty, hot and dry for most of the year but for those who choose to visit Natron, the area offers some of the most dramatic scenery in Tanzania.
Hike to Ngaresero Waterfall
Northern Serengeti
The Northern Serengeti receives very few visitors compared to the other regions of the Serengeti due to its relative inaccessibility and remains an untouched wilderness boasting stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. This vast region extends from Seronera in the Central Serengeti to the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya.

Central Serengeti
It is here in the Central Serengeti that the Serengeti plains gradually transform into undulating hills and woodlands that dominate the Western and Northern Serengeti. The main attraction of the Central Serengeti is the beautiful Seronera River Valley, home to a great diversity of resident wildlife due to its unique ecological niche as a transitional zone where two distinctly different habitats, the plains and woodlands, merge and various species of wildlife from both habitats can coexist.

Karatu
Karatu’s bright red soil is a striking feature which dominates the surrounding landscape. In the past, the cool climate, fertile red soil, and rolling hills surrounding Karatu made the lands around Karatu popular with German colonial settlers and farmers. Today, Karatu still offers magnificent views of the Ngorongoro highlands and is the gateway for visitors heading to Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.
