Maya attributed spiritual importance to Crystal Cave, perhaps because of the glimmering mineral formations that crowd the walls of its immense caverns. In order to enter you will need to make a descent of 15 feet (4.5 m) into the cave’s mouth. The Crystal Cave is a wet cave with fairly deep, flowing waters. Once inside, your tour will continue on inner tubes. You’ll float past the cave’s incredible formations, including an enormous group of stalactites that closely resembles a frozen waterfall.
