Where Is Cambodia?
Cambodia is located in Mainland Southeast Asia, bordered by Thailand to the northwest, Laos to the north, and Vietnam to the east. The country has a coastline along the Gulf of Thailand in the southwest and spans an area of 181,035 square kilometers (69,898 square miles).

The country sits entirely within the tropical Indomalayan realm, giving it a warm climate year-round. Cambodia's capital and largest city is Phnom Penh, located at the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap rivers. Siem Reap, the gateway to Angkor Wat, lies in the northwestern part of the country, while the coastal town of Sihanoukville provides access to the Gulf of Thailand and nearby islands.
Cambodia is positioned at roughly the same latitude as southern Thailand and central Vietnam, making it accessible from major Asian hubs like Bangkok (about 1.5 hours by air) and Ho Chi Minh City (about 1 hour by air).
