IncludedExperience one of Guatemala’s most iconic adventures with the Acatenango Overnight Group Tour, a budget-friendly way to explore this impressive volcano. The hike to base camp takes approximately 6 hours and is done in a shared group, meaning the pace and rest stops are set collectively, offering a social but less flexible experience compared to a private tour.
At camp, you’ll spend the night with stunning views of the neighboring Fuego Volcano and its frequent eruptions. The next morning, a short but rewarding hike to the summit allows you to witness an unforgettable sunrise above the clouds. Participants are required to carry their own backpack with the supplies provided. For additional support, porters are available to hire for Q250 per way (up to 25 lbs per backpack).
This tour may involve challenging terrain, including steep, rocky paths and natural obstacles. The hikes are long and demanding, making them best suited for travelers in good physical condition.
