DSL high-speed Internet is available in most places in Belize – though it may not be as fast as we are accustomed to “high speed” being – and is offered as a free service in most hotels. There are Internet cafés in all cities and most towns, offering web or use of web-connected computers for between BZ$10-20 per hour. Belize Telemedia Ltd. also offers use of its DSL-wired computers in their offices, and has created free Wi-Fi hotspots at the international airport.
In Belize City, San Pedro, Placencia, and some other locales, cable Internet is used as well as DSL, and satellite Internet can be found in remote areas.
