Hotel Casa del Parque

Antigua is one of the top destinations in Guatemala, and rightfully so. It’s a historic place with cobblestone streets, old churches, and a picturesque central park. As its name suggests, Hotel Casa del Parque is located a few steps away from Antigua’s Central Park. This makes it a convenient option for travelers who want easy access to Antigua.

With just fifteen rooms, this hotel is small. The rooms sleep between 1 and 3 people, mostly on queen-size or king-size beds. They are decorated with bright colors and have windows that let in lots of natural light. There are closets for hanging clothes, a writing desk and chair, and iron-forged lamps. All rooms have a private bathroom, hot water shower, wireless Internet, and cable TV. The rooms on the second floor have views of the Agua Volcano, while the rooms on the ground floor have views of the garden. All have easy access to the garden and pool area.

The swimming pool and kids pool is heated by a rooftop solar system. The pool is a nice place to take a dip after a day spent exploring Antigua. There’s also a dry sauna that guests can use—relaxing here in the evening is especially nice.

Breakfast is offered and other meals can be ordered from a restaurant that’s adjacent to the hotel. The hotel bar has a great selection of beers, juices and snacks, and there is free coffee and purified drinking water offered all day. The bar area has great views of the Agua Volcano.

If you don’t have a smart phone or laptop to access the Wi-Fi, you can hop on one of the hotel’s computers to use the Internet. The hotel staff is attentive and can help guests arrange meetings and other events.
