This tour takes you on a day-trip to Tikal from Antigua. You'll fly into and out of Santa Elena, and experience Guatemala's most famous Mayan ruins.

The tour begins early in the morning (around 4:00 AM). You'll be picked up from your hotel and taken to the domestic airport in Guatemala City to board a flight to Santa Elena. Once you land in Santa Elena, you'll be picked up and taken somewhere for breakfast (not included). After eating you'll drive to the Tikal National Park.

At the Tikal National Park you'll explore temples, palaces, and all sorts of Mayan ruins. You visit the Q and R Complexes, Temples IV and V, the Lost World, Main Plaza (with Temples I and II), and the Ruler's Palace. These are the best ruins in the park and will give you a strong understanding of Mayan culture and architecture. Have your camera ready - you're definitely going to want it!

After touring Tikal you'll have lunch (included) inside the park and then return to the Mundo Maya Airport in Santa Elena. Once here you'll board a flight back to Guatemala City. Upon arrival in Guatemala City, you'll be picked up and shuttled back to Antigua.

The tour is also available by first class or luxury bus.
