Santa Cruz La Laguna is a charming small town situated along the shores of Lake Atitlán, accessible only by boat. Surrounded by lush green forests and offering stunning views of the lake's blue waters, the town exudes a tranquil atmosphere. Activities here are laid-back, focusing on reading, swimming, hiking, and relaxation.

A lakeside lodge nestled within its own nature reserve provides a unique retreat. Its prime location offers breathtaking views of the azure lake and three majestic volcanoes in the background.

The spacious lakeside suites are designed with inspiration from nature, featuring volcanic stone, adobe, and palm trees. Each suite is individually decorated with comfortable beds, fine linens, intricate textiles, and indigenous artwork. All accommodations come equipped with a private bathroom and hot water shower, complete with beautiful green marble, vanity mirrors, and hand-painted sinks. Guests are provided with botanical toiletries, oversized towels, and bathrobes. Sliding glass doors open onto large private balconies furnished for outdoor enjoyment.

Evenings can be spent at the lodge’s restaurant, which boasts a romantic lakeside setting and a large stone fireplace. The restaurant serves a diverse range of flavorful and healthy cuisine, sourcing fresh vegetables, eggs, and cheese from the lodge's gardens and local farmers. Breads are baked onsite, and even the coffee is grown and roasted by the lodge. The menu changes with the seasons, and the kitchen accommodates dietary requests.

After a day of exploration, guests can unwind in the hot spa pool or indulge in a soothing massage. As the sun sets, enjoying a drink at the bar or lakeside pavilion becomes a memorable experience. The bar offers a selection of wines, beers, and spirits from Guatemala and beyond, with a signature Molten Lava cocktail made from Guatemalan rum and organic carrot and apple juice.

Activities at the lodge include kayaking, canoeing, and swimming, along with walking and jogging along the property’s trails. For those seeking more exercise, a small gym is available. The lodge is situated on a 100-acre property dedicated to preserving primary forests, with trails featuring palm-thatched rest pavilions that provide panoramic views of the lake.
