Hopkins Village is a rural beach town with a lovely selection of beachside bars and cafes. Staying on the coast you can easily arrange to take a boat tour of nearby aquatic attractions. Belize is one of the top snorkeling and scuba diving destinations in the world, due mainly to the Belize Barrier Reef. There are smaller reefs and atolls all along Belize’s coast. You’ll have the chance to see sea turtles, manatees, and dolphins. Jaguar Reef Lodge can provide guests with complimentary bicycles, kayaks, snorkeling gear, and fishing equipment. You can fill up your day just by exploring the grounds of the lodge, which bloom with tropical vegetation and serve as a habitat to tropical birds.

Each suite has a large living area as well as a kitchen, and each suite covers a total of 1,000 square feet (92 sq m). The kitchen comes equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Private bathrooms also provide hair dryers. Vaulted ceilings make the space feel elegant, and the superb view off the balcony will add to the luxuriousness of your vacation suite. When you want some downtime, head to the living room and spend some time with the TV, DVD player, or the stereo.

In a cabana, tile floors and ceiling fans will make your space feel like a cool oasis. There is a radio with an iPod input so you can blast your favorite vacation playlist. For more entertainment you can turn on the 26-inch flat-screen cable TV. To get the most out of your view, unwind in the hammock on the balcony.

At the Jaguar Reef Restaurant you can visit the resort’s full-service bar for wine, liquor, and cold local beer. Check out the poolside bar if you’d like to sip a tropical cocktail in the sunshine. The poolside bar also serves snacks. There are two beachfront pools at the lodge, as well as a whirlpool that overlooks the ocean. One of the pools is a heated infinity pool with a swim-up bar. The other pool caters to children.
