San Ignacio, Belize Horseback Riding

This tour starts by making your way along the riverside trail leading through habitat for birds, green iguanas and other kinds of Belizean wildlife. Note: No previous horseback riding experience is required; helmets are provided. There is a weight limit of 250lbs (113.4kg) per person.

The journey begins as you ride through a local village, offering an authentic glimpse into everyday rural life in Belize. From there, the trail opens into wide grasslands and agricultural areas before transitioning into dense jungle. Along the way, you may spot native wildlife such as white-tailed deer, coatimundis, and a variety of bird species, making this a rewarding experience for nature and bird-watching enthusiasts. Your guide will also point out plants that have long played an important role in Belizean culture and daily life. The ride leads to a hidden underground spring that feeds a stunning jungle waterfall, where you’ll have time to cool off with a refreshing swim surrounded by pristine nature. After enjoying this peaceful spot, you’ll ride back through the jungle and countryside to return to the stables, completing a memorable adventure immersed in Belize’s natural beauty.
