Casa Playa Mann

As the name suggests, Casa Playa Mann Hostal is just a few steps away from the beach. It offers just 9 rooms, creating a boutique feel for this sandy escape. There’s a lovely shared sitting area that overlooks the ocean, and many of the rooms offer a view of the ocean.

This hotel is just a few miles north of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, where you can find the island’s small collection of restaurants and shops. Lots of people come here to leave for unforgettable diving trips to nearby sites like Kicker Rock. This area is known for its huge population of marine wildlife. Venture farther afield to places like Española Island to go bird watching and have a look at native species of hummingbirds and finches.

Out of concern for the delicate Galápagos environment, the hotel is run with the help of environmentally friendly equipment and horticulture. The hotel’s garden also cultivates plants that tortoises like to much on. Although plenty of consideration has gone into blending with the local ecosystem, you can still look forward to private bathrooms with hot water — something that’s not always a given in this remote part of the world.
