Mai Chau Ecolodge

Mai Chau Ecolodge is designed to blend in both with nature and the local culture. Bungalows here are built on stilts, in the traditional style of the local people. They're nestled in the deep green of the surrounding rice paddies.

From Mai Chau Ecolodge you’ll be within walking distance of Lac and Pom Coong villages. This area is definitely about the journey as much as the destination, and you’ll want to take your time as you make your way through the gorgeous scenery. You can also walk (or take a very quick taxi ride) from the hotel to the town of Mai Chau, which has a market and a few restaurants. Take a day trip from the hotel to see Hoa Binh Lake, which is a little over 2 hours away by car. When you arrive at the lake you can go on a boating trip and see the lake’s floating villages, as well as the surrounding waterfalls and limestone mountains.

Rooms come with air conditioning. Interiors come furnished with bamboo furniture and some of the rooms have exposed stone walls. Every room has its own splendid view, of either the valley, the mountain, the rice paddies, or the garden. All of the accommodations have ensuite bathrooms, and some of the rooms also have outdoor showers. You can access Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

When you arrive, you’ll find your room stocked with fresh fruit and free water. There is a tea and coffee making station in the room. Guests are free to order room service and make use of the lodge’s convenient laundry service.

You don’t have to leave the lodge to find entertainment — the ecolodge hosts a traditional performance. Guests can also rent the hotel bikes. Visit the dining room to sample food from local gardens and recipes that blend together Vietnamese and Thai traditions. The dining room and the bar come with incredible views.

Mai Chau Ecolodge provides guests with lots of ways to enjoy their surroundings, including free bike rentals. There is a large outdoor swimming pool that includes a kiddie pool, and guests can visit the massage center for back rubs and full-body massages. Business travelers can make use of two meeting centers and the event space. Meeting centers come equipped with audio-visual equipment.
