Cycle out to Tra Que vegetable village from your hotel and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Hoi An’s back alleys. When you arrive in the village, you will take a short stroll through the vegetable gardens and learn about the local produce and history of the area.
After the introduction, it’s time to get your hands dirty as you follow your hosts going about their daily chores. You will learn about preparing the land, fertilizing with seaweed, sowing, and picking the best vegetables. This is a fascinating insight into the lives of many people in rural Vietnam.
As a reward for all your hard work, you will be treated to a foot bath with local herbs. You will then join the family in the kitchen to help prepare the produce for a delicious Vietnamese lunch. Learn how to make tam huu spring rolls and banh xeo pancakes and then sit down to eat the feast you’ve helped create. After lunch, you will say goodbye to your hosts and cycle back to your hotel.
