Travel 155 miles (250 km) outside of Hue City to find Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. This is an ancient limestone mountain range, covered in jungle and perforated by cave systems. Travelers come here especially to see the Phong Nha Cave, and this tour takes you on an easy caving expedition through its wild interior.
You tour begins with breakfast, followed by a drive to Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park. The drive itself offers excellent sightseeing opportunities all on its own. Then, follow your guide to the Phong Nha Wharf, where you’ll embark on a boating trip down the Song River to the mouth of the Phong Nha Cave.
Spend the afternoon admiring the stalactites, stalagmites and grottoes that make the interior so impressive. You’ll see extremely high ceilings over underground rivers. The cave itself goes on for a staggering 25,357 feet (7,729 m), although visitors stick to just the initial 4,921 feet (1,500 m). Afterward, you’ll have private transport back to Hue.
