What Should I Bring to Vietnam?

Vietnam is hot and humid for much of the year but it is also a relatively conservative country, so don't plan to wear short shorts or skimpy tank tops. Bring light clothing in breathable, natural fabrics and bring layers to cover up in historic areas.

Make sure to pack a rain jacket and umbrella; the rainiest months are July to August and November to December. If you are planning to travel in the northern Vietnam between November and March, bring more layers as temperatures drop with the windchill.
