Hosteria La Terraza

Hostería La Terraza consists of 16 cabins and a main building, situated on lush grounds with lovely gardens. You can opt for a rustic experience, or book a cabin with air conditioning and a private bathroom.

Puerto Lopez is popular starting point for sport fishing and boating tours. The beach here is best known for whale watching. From June to September you can see enormous humpback whales breeching a short distance from the coast. In nearby Machalilla National Park you can visit Los Frailes Beach, which is on the edge of a tropical dry forest. You can go on a boating tour to nearby La Plata Island and see some of the same rare species of bird that live on the Galápagos Islands.

The gardens on these grounds have a huge variety of tropical plants, including bright red flowers that climb the terraces. While you’re staying here you should visit Hostería La Terraza’s stylish infinity pool. Have a drink and admire your surroundings on your cabin’s terrace, which comes outfitted with patio furniture.

Cabins with air conditioning and heating also have private bathrooms. Both the private and shared bathrooms provide showers with reliable hot water. All of the accommodations are quite simple and spotlessly clean, with lots of windows that let in natural light.

Hostería La Terraza cabins have Wi-Fi, which you can also access from the main building. When you leave for the day, put your valuables in your cabin’s safety deposit box. Store your clothes and other necessities in the closet.

The main building has a tiled roof, and is built in the style of an old-fashioned hacienda. In the dining room you’ll find walls decorated with an enormous mural. The kitchen specializes in fresh local seafood, but you can also find some vegetarian and international options.
