Is The Government Stable in Guatemala?
Guatemala has a stable, democratically-elected government. The government does, however, frequently face charges of corruption and clandestine power. Even so, Guatemala's current democracy is a huge step forward from the military-oligarchy alliance that dominated the country throughout much of the 20th century. The government has helped the Guatemalan economy become the largest in Central America.
