The Chuquicahuana section of the Urubamba River offers a more intense rafting experience, with adrenaline pumping rapids and approximately two hours of rafting. For your safety, a professional safety kayaker or cataraft will accompany the group during the activity.

OPTION 1: DEPARTURE FROM CUSCO

Duration: Full Day Departure: Cusco Start Time: Approximately 8:10 AM

Your adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Travel by private transportation to Cusipata River Lodge, where you can leave your belongings and make use of the lodge's facilities, including hot showers, restrooms, sauna, and a comfortable dining area.

Upon arrival, our professional river guides will provide you with all the necessary rafting equipment and conduct a comprehensive safety briefing. You will then continue for approximately 10 minutes to the Chuquicahuana section of the river, where the rafting adventure begins.

Enjoy approximately two hours of rafting through exciting Class III and III+ rapids, surrounded by the spectacular scenery of the Urubamba Valley. After completing the rafting, return to Cusipata River Lodge, where a delicious hot lunch will be served.

After lunch, take some time to relax in the sauna before enjoying an exciting zipline experience across the Urubamba River, featuring two cables of approximately 100 meters each.

In the afternoon, begin your return journey to Cusco, arriving at your hotel later in the day.

OPTION 2: DEPARTURE FROM SICUANI

This option is ideal for travelers staying in Sicuani or visiting the area as part of their journey through the Southern Valley of Cusco. By starting the excursion from Sicuani, you can significantly reduce the amount of time spent traveling to and from the rafting area, allowing you to enjoy a more relaxed and efficient adventure day.

You will be picked up from your hotel in Sicuani and transferred to Cusipata River Lodge, where you can leave your belongings and make use of the lodge's facilities, including hot showers, restrooms, sauna, and a comfortable dining area.

Our professional river guides will provide all the necessary rafting equipment and conduct a comprehensive safety briefing. You will then continue for approximately 10 minutes to the Chuquicahuana section of the Urubamba River.

Get ready for approximately two hours of exciting Class III and III+ whitewater rafting, accompanied by professional river guides and supported by a safety kayaker or cataraft.
