The bustling streets of Hanoi are home to color, culture, cuisine, and a whole lot of fun. From the beauty of the Old Quarter to the French architecture of the colonial era, there is so much to see and do — shopping, museums, walking tours, strolling along the Red River…whether old, new, or flowing, every facet of this city is alive.

Make Way for A Delicious Adventure

Take a tasty express tour of Hanoi with this delicious adventure. Hop on a Vespa and zoom through the city like one of the locals — we can almost guarantee that your last tasting menu wasn’t this adventurous. Your delicious itinerary includes:

Delicacy #1
The family operated eatery local Hanoians will tell you makes the best Banh Cuon (steamed rolled cake) in the city! Watch the chef showcase their expertise as they demonstrate how this delightful treat is assembled. Beep-beep! Make your way through the streets under the light of Old Quarter’s vibrant lanterns. Admire the beauty of the Red River and the city under nightfall.

Delicacy #2
Your next dish? Succulent Bun Cha (grilled pork with vermicelli noodle), courtesy of a family eatery. Notable patrons have included President of The United States, Barack Obama.

Delicacy #3
Now, it’s time for a photo opportunity before sampling your next dish. Pose for pictures in front of the opera house, then indulge in one of the nation’s most popular exports — the Banh Mi (sandwich served on a crispy baguette).

Delicacy #4
After passing the Chuong Duong Bridge for more views of the Red River and Hanoi at night, you’ll visit a hidden store that you really wouldn’t find if you weren’t in the know! Here, you’ll get to sample Banh Xeo (sizzling hot savoury pancakes) and Nem Lui (grilled pork on lemongrass skewers).

Delicacay #5
Ride along the stunning scenery of the West Lake before heading to Ngu Xa village. Enjoy a variety of traditional fried Vietnamese dishes, as well as grilled seafood, Che Xoia (mango dessert), and purple rice with yoghurt. Venture back into the heart of Hanoi — take the route past Ho Chi Minh memorial, where guards perform their nightly ceremonies. It’s a great opporuntity to admire Vietnam’s reverence for Ho Chi Minh City.

Delicacy #6 Once back in Hanoi, you will head toward the train tracks. Here, you’ll find the locals relaxing, selling their wares, and cooking. It’s some of the city’s most authentic nighttime action! You last and final stop is in this area. Like any meal, this tour concludes with dessert. Time to wrap it up at a popular cafe for another of the nation’s famous treats — the Vietnamese egg coffee, which was invented in 1946. It might sound a little strange, but the combination of egg yolk whipped into a fluffly froth with sugar, condensed milk, and the smallest drop of is positively heavenly when dolloped on top of espresso and dusted with cocoa powder. It’s almost like a shot of tiramisu! You’ll also enjoy a secret dessert (as a traveler in the know).

This was AMAZING! The food was absolutely incredible- we visited places we would never have tried (or found!) The bikes were so much fun, and we loved travelling across the city by night. The children thought it was brilliant! The lady drivers were helpful and knowledgeable and we felt very safe at all times. Thoroughly recommended by us all.
