Hotel des Arts Saigon is an ideal location for seeing the best of Ho Chi Minh City’s architecture. You can walk from here to the Reunification Palace, which is one of the top historic attractions in Vietnam and the site of the Fall of Saigon. The Reunification has nicely preserved rooms from the South Vietnamese government. From the rooftop, you’ll have an impressive view of the city. It’s also an easy walk to the city’s old post office, a bright yellow building built in the late 19th century, and the famous Saigon Opera House, which harkens to the city’s French colonial past.
