La Residence Hotel

La Residence is a grand, luxury hotel with a French pedigree. When it opened in 1930, is served a residence for a high-ranking French official. The hotel has preserved the building's Art Deco architecture.

This hotel is set back a short distance from the Perfume River. You can find boating tours that leave from nearby docks to take to you see the local sights, like the Thien Mu Pagoda. South of the river, you can reach the incredibly elaborate mausoleum of Emperor Kai Dinh. This emperor was not popular in his lifetime, but his tomb is one of Vietnam’s most celebrated works of art. Just across the river from the hotel, you can stroll the buildings around of the Imperial Citadel.

Rooms at La Residence blend colonial and Art Deco influences, with sturdy, elegant furniture. Step out onto the balcony or terrace to survey the busy Le Loi Avenue below. Guests have access to complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, and every room comes equipped with a satellite TV. All of the private bathrooms come with either showers or bathtubs. La Residence’s upscale restaurant serves Hue specialties alongside a lengthy wine list. The hotel bar has a distinctly Vietnamese look, with furnishings that blend dark wood with splashes of bright red. You can step onto the hotel terrace with your drink, which looks out over the hotel gardens. If you’re feeling peckish after a swim, visit the poolside bar for a selection of hearty snacks and fancy cocktails.

La Residence has free bicycle rentals. Guests can select from a variety of fitness routines — there’s a tennis court, a half basketball court, and a gym. There’s a billiard table if you have some free time. The spa offers a variety of treatments including cupping.

There are two meeting rooms at the hotel, one large and one small. These rooms can accommodate anywhere from 12 to 220 guests. The staff can set up the rooms in several configurations, for classes, meetings, and presentations.
