Pilgrimage Village is a boutique resort and spa that offers a wide selection of rooms and villas. It’s nearby some of Hue’s most interesting royal tombs and puts you a short distance from the hustle and bustle of Hue’s main drag.
Make a trip downtown to see the Imperial City, which is where the royal family lived from the mid-19th century until 1945. It takes about 20 minutes to get from the hotel to the Imperial City via taxi. After you explore the historic site, check out nearby attractions like the Museum of Royal Antiquities. You can see more royal history on tours of tombs and mausoleums in the area, a few of which are just a short distance south of the resort. See the enormous burial complex left behind by Emperor Minh Mang and the colorful mosaics that decorate Emperor Kai Dinh’s colorful tomb. Visitors to Hue often take boating trips down the Perfume River to see the ancient Thien Mu Pagoda.
Accommodations here take inspiration from traditional Vietnamese architecture. Rooms are simply decorated and have terraces with tranquil views. If you want more privacy, consider booking one of the resort’s pool villas. The staff here replenishes fruit and flowers on a daily basis and you can make tea and coffee with the supplies provided. Unwind in front of a satellite TV that offers 25 channels and access high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.
Every room has an ensuite bathroom with a bathtub and a hairdryer, in addition to upscale amenities like locally sourced bath salts. All of the rooms are air-conditioned and come with mini fridges, minibars, and international direct dial telephones. There is a safety deposit box for guests to store their valuables. The hotel staff is happy to take some chores off your plate and offer a turn-down service and laundry service.
During your stay, you can attend complimentary yoga, tai chi, and chakra-balancing classes. The grounds of the hotel are lovely, with gardens, a lily pond, and a swimming pool. Visit the spa for skin, hair, and nail treatments made with locally sourced ingredients. There’s also a long list of massage treatments to peruse.
There is a nice selection of on-site restaurants and bars. You can find a bar in a tropical setting next to a waterfall and a lakeside restaurant, to name just a couple. Chefs here take special care preparing some of Hue’s classic dishes. Guests can also choose from a wide variety of international options.
