Experience Highlights

Guided Tours

Guayaquil is a bustling and exciting city in Ecuador. This tour brings travelers to some of the best places in the city and exposes them to important historical and cultural dimensions of Guayaquil.

Travelers are picked up at their hotel by a professional, bilingual tour guide. The first stop is the Plaza of the Administration, where you'll be introduced to the city government, the Sucre Monument, and Seminary Park, which is also known as Iguana Park. At Iguana Park you'll see groups of iguanas wandering around and hanging out on trees. Needless to say, you'll definitely want to have your camera for this place!

You'll then visit the Malecón 2000, a walkway that extends along the Guayas River. This is a bustling area with lots of cafes and restaurants. Attractions include the South Market Plaza (i.e. the Palacio de Cristal) and the Plaza Olmedo, which is home to the famous monument to José Joaquín Olmedo, Guayaquil's best known poet.

The third stop is at the Moorish Tower, where you'll also see some of the main historical monuments in Guayaquil, including La Rotonda and statues of Simón Bolívar and San Martin. Finally, you will visit the Malecón's garden area, which is home to a wide variety of plants.

The journey then continues on to the beautiful neighborhood of Las Peñas, which is packed with lots of historic houses. You'll also visit Cerro Santa Ana and enjoy good views of the surrounding area from the top of this hill.
