It Was Hard to Say Goodbye
Ecuador is a beautiful country—from Quito all the way to the coast of Guayaquil. We met some of the most humbling people and had the chance to experience the culture of Ecuador.
What’s your impression of this trip?
This vacation was a mother-daughter trip that I’d been planning for a while, and this was our first time visiting Ecuador! Anywhere is definitely a company I have been and will continue to recommend to help you plan your vacations perfectly. Ecuador is a beautiful country. We ate good food, met some of the most humbling people on our tours, and definitely had the chance to experience the culture of Ecuador.
It was hard to say goodbye to Ecuador because...
Cuenca city was beautiful. We made a few stops along the way on the city tour, and the nature/sensory element of the experience was breathtaking. Our private transfer between each town was safe and reliable. Now, there are no words to describe our driver, (which we were lucky to have for 9 days) Ricardo. He was professional, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our Ecuador experience one to remember. When stopping at Quito city, he recommended changing the dates of our city tour so we would get to see the Changing of the Guard. Being able to experience the local culture was priceless. It was sad to say goodbye, but one thing is for sure when we plan our next trip to Ecuador, we will be asking for Ricardo again!
The reason this vacation was so successful...
I was hesitant at first (booking with an online travel agency), but much to my surprise, I was blown away. Percy was amazing with answering *all* of my questions due to his knowledge about Ecuador. He went above and beyond and for that, I'm grateful and thankful. Anywhere.com made our Ecuador experience one to remember.
Places you'll stay
Baños
Set at the base of the looming Tungurahua Volcano, the peaceful town of Baños gets its name from the many thermal spas that are scattered around the area. It’s an outdoor adventure hub as well, with whitewater rafting, hiking and mountain biking opportunities nearby.
Cuenca
Cuenca is a colonial marvel and one of the most attractive cities in Ecuador. Nestled in the highlands, its charming streets, grand plazas and churches span multiple levels of the mountainside, making the city more than postcard-worthy.
Quito
Set an elevation of 9,350 ft (2,850 m), Quito is the highest capital city in the world. The population of this bustling city is a contrasting mix of Ecuadorians sporting sleek business suits and colorful indigenous clothing. These contrasts exemplify the mix of politics, history and culture that define Quito. Founded in the 16th century atop the ruins of an Inca city, Quito is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a premier destination for those visiting Ecuador.
Guayaquil
As the largest city in Ecuador, Guayaquil is the commercial heart of the country. Its crowded streets contain a vast number of impressive hotels, restaurants and plazas.
Moments to look forward to
Otavalo Textile Market
A bright mosaic of textiles literally blankets the town of Otavalo during its famous market days. As one of the oldest and largest textile markets in the Andes, this colorful experience is not to be missed.
