Experience Highlights
In the early morning, you’ll meet in the lobby of your hotel. Your boat will set sail for Isabela Island, a voyage that will take 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Once you arrive at Isabela, you’ll set out for Los Humedales, a complex of trails that is studded with lava formations. Continue on this trail to the Wall of Tears, a monument built by the prisoners who used to live on this island. The tour continues to the tortoise breeding center, which is one of the only places where you can see the five distinct types of Galápagos tortoises.
Next, you’ll make your way to Isabela Island’s Concha Perla Beach, where you can swim and snorkel with sea lions, tropical fish, and sea turtles.
In the afternoon, your itinerary includes a stop at Las Tintoreras — a small chain of islands near one of Isabela Island’s bays. Here you can see the exceedingly rare Galápagos penguin, as well as white-tipped reef sharks, sea turtles, blue-footed boobies, sea lions, marine iguanas, and rays.
At the end of the tour, your group will return to Puerto Ayora.

Traveler Comments
We truly enjoyed all this tour packed in. We saw so many animals, from penguins to turtles to sea lions and everything in between. We loved that we got to snorkel as well as walk around and see land animals. Our guides were fantastic, knowledgeable, and friendly. A highlight for us was the tortoise breeding center, walking through the mangroves to see the flamingos and marine iguanas, and the delicious lunch.
