There is a US$30 tax when you leave the country by air, although this is often included in the price of a flight. There is a US$10 tax when you leave Guatemala by sea, and no tax when you leave the country by land. Goods and services are subject to a 12 percent tax, and hotels also have an additional 10 percent tourism tax.
