At the Morin Hotel, you’ll be just steps away from the Truong Tien Bridge, one the city’s most noteworthy architectural sites. Next to the bridge, you’ll find a couple of public parks with interesting public monuments. From here, you can embark on boating tours of the Perfume River aboard one of the boats painted to look like a dragon. Cross over the bridge to reach Hue’s old Imperial City, the former residence of the Nguyen Dynasty. After you explore the various buildings, you can see a small collection of royal artifacts at the Museum of Royal Antiquities. The surrounding area is also a good spot for exploring Hue’s many excellent restaurants.
Morin Hotel is one of Hue’s classic hotels, and one of the first hotels in central Hue. This hotel was built at the beginning of the 20th century by a French businessman. You can see the Old World influence in the European furniture and polished wood floors. Curtains sweep aside to reveal enormous glass doors and spacious terraces.
