Meet your guide early and drive to the start of your trekking route in Y Linh Ho. Your trek will follow the Muong Hoa Stream to the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. Along the way, you’ll be able to take in the magnificent landscape and the iconic shape of Fansipan Mountain, the highest mountain in Vietnam.

After a few hours of trekking, you will stop for a picnic lunch with a view. Take a rest and soak in the mountain air before continuing to Ta Van Village. Ta Van is home to a Giay community, who are experts in rice cultivation.

The Giay dress rather simply compared to some of the other ethnic communities in Sapa, but are recognizable by their checkered headpieces. The pink fabric contrasts beautifully with the bright green landscape. Throughout the day you will trek a total of 5.6 miles (9 km) with plenty of time for resting and photo opportunities.
