This tour starts by making your way along the riverside trail leading through habitat for birds, green iguanas and other kinds of Belizean wildlife. Note: No previous horseback riding experience is required; helmets are provided. There is a weight limit of 250lbs (113.4kg) per person.

Caracol Mayan Temples was discovered in 1938 by loggers, located deep within the Chiquibul Forest Reserve now it is the most extensive Maya site in Belize and one of the biggest in the Maya World.

Discover Belize’s incredible wildlife at The Belize Zoo, a unique sanctuary that started in 1983 as a refuge for a small collection of animals. Today, it spans 29 acres of tropical savanna and is home to over 170 animals representing more than 45 species, all native to Belize. The zoo provides a safe haven for orphaned, rescued, and rehabilitated animals, as well as those born at the zoo or donated by other institutions. Known as Belize’s first fully accessible nature destination, it offers a welcoming experience for visitors of all abilities. The Belize Zoo is a non-profit organization dedicated to wildlife conservation through rehabilitation and environmental education. Just a short drive away, you can also visit the Baboon Sanctuary, a vital effort to protect the endangered howler monkeys from habitat destruction caused by agriculture, logging, and hunting. This sanctuary works closely with local landowners to promote the conservation of their lands, ensuring the survival of these monkeys. Visitors and the community alike are educated on the importance of biodiversity and sustainability, making this sanctuary an essential stop for eco-conscious travelers. Both destinations offer a deep dive into Belize's rich natural heritage, providing an inspiring experience for anyone passionate about wildlife conservation.

The adventure starts at the Belize Zoo Upon arriving at the zoo, we check in at the visitor center. Here we can access a map of the zoo’s layout. We can choose to tour the zoo and take any rout we wish. At the visitor center you’ll find reptile display which hosts various local species of snakes After lunch, it’s time to head out to the George Price Highways once again and make our way onto our next destination, in this case the Cave tubing site. Upon arriving at the parking lot, you guide checks you in with the ranger. Here you can use the expansive restroom complex to change into your swimwear if you haven’t as yet done so. Your guide then walks you over to the tube racks where you’ll pick a tube of your choice. We provide you with life jackets, helmets, and headlamps. Once we’re all geared up, we then embark on a 45 minutes’ hike across the clear blue Caves Branch River. At this crossing there’s a rope across the river to assist you crossing. The water is knees-deep, typically. After the river crossing, we start off along a jungle trail heading upstream alongside the river. Since you’ll be ending back at the river crossing downstream, you’ll only be needing to get out of the river and head back on a short trek to the parking lot. Here we’ll deposit our tubes and then we’re free to change into our dry clothes. Once everyone is all dried up, we board the vehicle and head back onto the George Price Highway and onto San Ignacio, arriving around 5:00PM depending on individual pace.
