What Are Ecuador's Border Crossings Like?

Ecuador is bordered by Peru and Colombia. The primary crossings with Peru are at Macará, Huaquillas, Zumba, Amaluza, and Zapotillo. The crossing with Colombia is at Tulcán.

In general, coastal crossings tend to be safer than jungle crossings. It's also a good idea to cross borders in the morning instead of late in the evening.
