Hotel Explore Lodge

Santa Elena is a midsize town located along the banks of Lake Petén Itzá in the heart of Petén. The town connects to the lovely island of Flores via a causeway. Flores is a cute island town and is the principal attraction here. With cobblestone streets and pastel-colored buildings, Flores is a fun place to explore for an afternoon. Activities in this area include kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, boating, and bird watching.

Hotel Explore Lodge is set just a few blocks from both the shores of Lake Petén Itzá and the causeway to Flores. This location makes it easy to explore Flores and Santa Elena. Flores is about a half-mile (1 km) away.

The rooms at Hotel Explore Lodge are basic but sufficient. Each has a private bathroom with a hot water shower and complimentary toiletries.
