Hue, Vietnam is a region of immense beauty. Ancestral homes and Buddhist pagodas share space with tech stores and hip cafes. Here, you can enjoy splendid architecture, UNESCO-listed tombs and a citadel, exceptional cuisine, and the Perfume River running through it all. If you haven’t already added Hue to your travel to-do list, now is your chance…

Hue By Night

The end of the day doesn’t have to spell the end of your adventures! As the sun begins to set, you can explore what happens in Vietnam after dark. This fun and educational tour includes the following itinerary:

16:00 P.M.
Your guide and Vespa rider will meet you at your hotel or transfer you to Vespa Cafe. You will be briefed on the tour before you begin your ride from the ‘new city’ to the ‘old city’. Along the way, you’ll pass by Truong Tien Bridge and Dong Ba Market. You’ll make your way into the heart of Hue Citadel before you leave the city for greener pastures — literally! The roads to rural villages are filled with vegetable gardens, schools, and the homes of locals. You’ll then stop at Thien Mu boat landing for a break, photo opportunities, and to enjoy the setting sun over the water.

16:40 P.M.
As your break concludes it’s time to ride on. This time, you’re heading west to Vong Canh Hill (Pine Tree Hill), where you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the mountains, royal valley, and Perfume River. Beautiful on its own, the scenery is enhanced when you enjoy the landscape with a glass of Champagne, local beer, or a soft drink in hand. This portion of your tour also offers the option of stopping at an incense making village.

18:00 P.M.
Pay a visit to the Doan family. This typical Vietnamese family consists of three generations sharing a home. After introductions have been made, your hosts will teach you about local culture, including ancestral worship, the daily family routine, the value and importance of family, and more. You will then learn how to prepare an authentic Vietnamese dinner, and proceed to share this meal (and family stories) with your gracious hosts.

20:30 P.M.
After dinner, it’s time to bid farewell to the Doan family and thank them once more for their hospitality. Jump back on your Vespa for a final time and ride back to your hotel in the city.
