Hotel Don Udos is located in Copán Ruinas. This hotel has a friendly environment, comfortable rooms, and a delicious restaurant.
Copán Ruinas is located a few miles across the border in Honduras. This pleasant town is set in a lush valley and very close to the Mayan site of Copán. The ruins at Copán are first-class, with stunning stelae, amazing altars, and a hieroglyphic stairway that boasts the longest known Mayan inscription. The town of Copán Ruinas is charming and acts as a great home base for exploring the area. Other attractions in the area include coffee farms and hot springs.
Hotel Don Udo’s is a warm and welcoming place. The hotel’s property is lovely, with hammocks hanging around an attractive central courtyard. The courtyard is a wonderful place to read or enjoy a tropical cocktail from the onsite bar.
Another advantage of this hotel is its location—it’s away from the noisy central part of town, but is still only a few blocks from the town square and a short tuk tuk ride to most other attractions.
The 16 rooms here are spotless and well decorated. They are furnished with unique colonial artwork and stay cool with ceiling fans and air conditioning. All have a private bathroom with a hot water shower and purified drinking water on tap; some also have a bathtub and hair dryer. Certain rooms are equipped with a cable TV.
Guests enjoy a delicious complimentary breakfast each morning at Hotel Don Udo’s. You can choose among three options – a typical Honduran breakfast, continental breakfast, or eggs benedict – or order anything off the restaurant’s à la carte menu. All breakfasts are served with juice and Copán’s best coffee. Lunch and dinner are also offered here and include a delectable list of selections, including tenderloin steak covered in béarnaise sauce and homemade ravioli with salmon.
There is secure private parking for guests and Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel.
