Clarion Copán

Copán Ruinas is located just across the border with Honduras. The town is best known for the Mayan archeological site of Copán, which is set just a few miles away. Copán has some of the best artistry in the Mayan world, including pyramids, stelae, and intricate hieroglyphic carvings. The town itself is charming and acts as a perfect home base for exploring this area. Other attractions in Copán include a butterfly house, bird park, hot springs, and coffee farm.

The Clarion Hotel is located about 2 miles (3 km) from both Copán Ruinas and the archeological site of Copán. This makes it easy to visit all the best attractions in the area but still be a quiet distance from town. The hotel is surrounding by nature and has a lovely view of the Copán River valley.

The rooms at this hotel are big and bright. They have vaulted wooden ceilings, tile floors, and large windows. The Las Ruinas Restaurant serves tasty national and international cuisine in a comfortable environment. Breakfast and dinner buffets are offered and are sometimes accompanied by live music on the lawn. As you dine, you can admire the beauty of the surrounding mountains.

Events such as weddings, parties, and meetings can be held in the hotel’s banquet rooms and outdoor gardens. The meeting rooms can hold 50–100 people, while the gardens can hold up to 500. The staff here is very helpful and can assist with event preparation.
