This exciting tour of the Ixpanpajul Natural Park includes both a walk along suspension bridges and a canopy tour. It's a fun way to experience the outdoors in Guatemala.
Ixpanpajul Natural Park is set just outside Flores and Santa Elena. The park spreads across 3.5 square miles (9 square km) of dense forests and lovely landscapes.
During the first portion of this tour, you'll walk along winding forest paths and cross a series of six suspension bridges. Along the way, you'll enjoy a birds-eye view of the forest canopy and come into close contact with the flora and fauna of Guatemala. This section concludes at the top of the Miramás Hill, where you can take in incredible views of Lake Petén Itzá.
Next up comes the zip-lining, aka the Tarzan Tour. Eight platforms and a series of cables extend through the forest. You'll get set up with equipment and a short lesson, and begin flying through the forest when you're ready. No doubt, this is a unique way to see the natural side of Guatemala. The guides are professional and safe.
