This ride includes lovely views of Lake Atitlán. Your guides can also show you around the grounds of Finca Xetuc, which is designed to show off the area's incredible flora. Guides can also help you spot some of the native wildlife, including exotic birds. At the end of the ride, you'll get to partake in a gourmet lunch, complete with refreshing beverages. This tour starts at 9:30 am and ends at 3:30 pm during the rainy season. During Guatemala's dry season, the tour begins an hour later. Pickup takes place at the Municipal Santiago Atitlan Dock, or the Hotel Santiago at Santiago Atitlan. If you are staying at Panajachel Village, you must book your own boat ride to get to the other side of the Atitlan Lake. Make sure you let your guides know in advance if you have any special requirements and your level of horseback riding experience. With advanced notice, guides can accommodate inexperienced riders, non-riders, and children.

You can get experience the lake by kayaking or swimming at the beaches on the lakeshore. See the lake from above by hiking the San Pedro Volcano or by reaching the summit known locally as Indian’s Nose.
