The elegant Cala Luna Hotel and Villas are located on the northwestern shoreline of Costa Rica, in the bustling tourist town of Tamarindo. This picturesque region opens a doorway to flat lands, green mountains and rich foliage. Because of the unique climate, the area boasts a tremendous diversity of terrain, from dense rain forests to airy deciduous forests, towering active volcanoes to lush sugarcane fields, and thick lagoons to untouched beaches.
Tamarindo and its surrounding area are an excellent choice for those seeking outstanding surfing opportunities. Also visit the giant mangrove swamps which are the habitat for exotic birds, monkeys, caimans, and iguanas. Take a trip to the Baula National Park, one of the few remaining nesting grounds for the Giant Leatherback Sea Turtle. Relax on the Sunset and Snorkeling Cruise or venture into the open waters for a deep sea fishing excursion.
Cala Luna provides a peaceful setting with warm colors and tranquil ocean sounds. While enjoying the sun at the pool, La Caletta Pool Bar can provide you with refreshing snacks and drinks. At sunset, before sitting down for a candlelight dinner, sip on an unforgettable exotic fruit cocktail while listening to relaxing music. For some one-on-one time, try a private yoga class with an experienced instructor. The open air restaurant serves typical cuisine, offering seafood and fish specialties.
The fine accommodations at Cala Luna offer deluxe hotel rooms and Villas surrounded by luxurious vegetation of silver palms, delicate hibiscus and colorful bougainvillea. Constructed in tropical hardwood, the rooms offer a fully equipped bathroom, satellite TV and are close to the beach so that you can hear the waves. The luxurious Garden Villas have two or three bedrooms, a private swimming pool and a fully equipped kitchen, complete with an espresso maker.

Feedback from Travelers
The staff at this hotel made it as great of a stay as it was. They were so nice and really enjoyable to be around. Also, there were monkeys all over the outside of the hotel, which was AWESOME!
Gorgeous hotel and extremely friendly and helpful staff.
We LOVED this boutique hotel and would love to stay there again. The staff were so nice and friendly and the grounds were amazing. We enjoyed having the private beach access as well. The room was very nice and spacious, cleaned very well every day. We recommend to anyone going to Tamarindo.
