Monte Real offers travelers the best of both worlds — it’s in the midst of the busy town of La Fortuna, but also offers a serene view of the Arenal Volcano, which you’ll get to learn more about on nature walks through the park and on boating tours of Arenal Lake. The hotel is right next to a river and has its own patch of forest, making the grounds an inviting place for sloths, monkeys, and butterflies.
