Once you reach the stunning mountains of Guanacaste, you’ll want to see as much of them as possible. Speedy, rugged ATVs are the perfect vehicles for your mission. Before the mountain trail tour begins, you’ll get to practice driving an ATV with your guide. Your guide will take you to the trails that best fit your level of driving comfort.

Out on the trails, you may see some sabaneros, also known as Costa Rican cowboys. Sabaneros are quite friendly, so don’t feel shy. Give them a wave as you make your way down the trail. And don’t drive too fast! You won’t want to miss the monkeys, birds, and iguanas that live in this part of the mountain.

Your tour guide will do their best to get you to the ocean lookout by late afternoon. This is the best time of day to see the glorious sunsets that light up this part of the mountain.
