Step into the fascinating worlds of coffee, chocolate, and sugar cane—the staples that have shaped our traditions and sweetened our lives—while discovering their history, cultivation, and production.
Your adventure begins with a guided walk through lush gardens and along a scenic trail by the San Carlos River, where the vibrant flora and fauna will captivate you. Marvel at the variety of fruit trees before visiting the dairy, mill, and cheese house. You’ll also explore our orchard, pollinated by Mariola bees, which produces the fresh ingredients used in our lodge’s restaurant.
Next, at the coffee station, you’ll savor different brews while learning about the bean’s cultural significance and historical journey. Then, after visiting the cocoa plantation, we’ll take you to the chocolate station to uncover the secrets of cacao cultivation and the chocolate-making process. Of course, the highlight is tasting a variety of chocolates—truly a drink of the gods.
