Hotel Tramonto

Hotel Tramonto is just a few steps away from Playa Hermosa. This is one of the nicest beaches on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast for swimming and sunbathing.

Playa Hermosa is an excellent place to take surfing lessons, and it's the location of several surfing tournaments. This black-sand beach is also a good spot for parasailing and horseback riding. Leave the coast behind and head to Damas Island for a tour of the surrounding mangroves. While you’re staying here you can travel an hour north of the hotel to Carara National Park, and take a tour of the Tarcoles River for a chance to see crocodiles. Nature hikes will introduce you to Costa Rica’s incredible bird watching – toucans, parrots, and kingfishers all call this forest home.

While you’re here you can swim in the ocean as well as the hotel’s pristine, tiled pool. Unwind on the patio’s comfortable patio furniture. Superior rooms come with private balconies that have views of either the ocean or the pool.
