Your tour begins with a visit to a Chorotega-style home, and you’ll learn about their pre-Columbian traditions. Then, you’ll get to see what coffee looks like when it’s ready for harvest, and your guide will give you an in-depth overview of coffee horticulture. You’ll follow your guide through the subsequent drying, roasting, and packaging steps.
As you follow the steps that bring you closer to coffee, you’ll learn about local as well as international businesses that thrive selling delectable Costa Rican coffee beans. This coffee farm makes sustainability a priority, and on the tour, you’ll see how the farmers recycle water and use worm compost to make organic fertilizer. This tour includes a taste of the final product, and Café Diría prides itself on a cup that balances acid, body, and aroma.
