Join an expert naturalist guide and journey through the lush trails of Curi-Cancha Reserve, a protected area covering 83 hectares of pristine cloud forest, secondary growth, and open pastures. Located between 1,450 and 1,615 meters above sea level, the reserve features a unique mix of lower montane and premontane very humid forest, creating ideal conditions for wildlife viewing.

During your hike, you’ll explore over 7 kilometers of trails, with opportunities to encounter a wide variety of flora and fauna. The reserve is a birdwatcher’s paradise, home to more than 200 species including the resplendent quetzal, three-wattled bellbird, emerald toucanet, and blue-crowned motmot.

Wildlife sightings may also include coatis, agoutis, armadillos, kinkajous, sloths, and three species of monkeys: howler, capuchin, and spider monkeys.
