Hotel Trópico Monteverde is a 5-minute drive from the small town of Santa Elena, which serves as the gateway to the surrounding cloud forest reserves. Here you can find bars, upscale restaurants, and small grocery stores. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Monteverde’s famous cloud forest.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is a bird watcher’s dream, with over 350 avian species. Take a tour of the hanging bridges for an incredible view of the misty cloud forests. In addition to the cloud forest reserves, there are several species exhibits in Santa Elena. Check out bats, frogs, and a butterfly garden. When you’re feeling peckish, visit the Monteverde Cheese Factory where local Quakers sell homemade cheese and ice cream.
Rooms here have a cozy vibe, with wood floors and ceilings. Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Every room has a private bathroom. There are terraces where you can get fresh air and a good look at your surroundings.
