This hike includes stops at panoramic vistas where you’ll get an idea of the vastness of the park, all while keeping a safe distance from the openings of the volcano.
Rincón de la Vieja Volcano is an active volcano, with 9 distinct cones. Along the trail, you’ll see mud pools and streams with pockets of boiling water. Openings called fumaroles serve as vents for volcanic gasses, which create a stream of bubbles.
