Across the street from the Costa Rica Tennis Club and Hotel is La Sabana Metropolitan Park, the country’s largest and most important urban park, which provides a variety of recreational opportunity for San Jose residents and travelers alike. This urban green space has been part of San Jose for over two centuries and currently houses the country’s national stadium and the Museum of Costa Rican Art.

Since its opening in 1969, the Costa Rica Tennis Club and Hotel has continued to provide a premier athletic facilities. Guests can choose from a wide selection of sporty activities. The club has 5 outdoor and 6 indoor tennis courts, as well as 5 squash courts. There are two swimming pools, and one of them is semi-Olympic. Soccer players can head to the indoor soccer set up — it's not quite the same as regular soccer, and players will use a smaller, harder ball. You can also keep up your regular fitness routine at the gym, which is equipped with weights and a basketball court.

For more relaxed fun, there's a bowling alley with 8 lanes and a cafeteria. Try your hand at basque on the Fronton court, or have a friendly competition at the ping pong paddle. Guests can steam themselves in the sauna, which has separate areas for men and women.

Costa Rica Tennis Club features an upscale restaurant as well as a more casual sports bar. Guests can unwind with their favorite vintage in the hotel's wine cellar. This hotel also caters to business travelers with a convenient meeting room.
