San José is the capital city of Costa Rica. The country’s main international airport is nearby, so it’s likely that travelers will spend at least a day or two in San José. It isn’t the quaintest town in Costa Rica, but it does have its own sort of charm. There are several parks to stroll in and a number of museums that are fun to visit. Day trips can be made to the Irazú Volcano and the Café Britt coffee estate.
The Sleep Inn is set 9.5 miles (15 km) from the Juan Santamaría International Airport, and there are a number of tourist attractions – including the National Theater, Gold Museum and Jade Museum – that are within walking distance.
The Sleep Inn is a comfortable and contemporary hotel. It’s equipped with a range of amenities to ensure its guests have a pleasant stay.
The hotel’s 86 rooms were recently renovated. All have a private bathroom, hot water shower, air conditioning, cable TV, and high speed Internet access. There is a work desk, as well as a coffee maker should you need an afternoon pick-me-up. The microwave and mini-fridge allow you to store and cook food, while the safe deposit box ensures that all valuables remain secure. There are also several suites that have a living room and sofa bed.
Guests can start their day with a complimentary American breakfast buffet. Breakfast includes an assortment of breads, seasonal fruit, cereal, yogurt, hot dishes, juice, coffee, tea, and milk. It’s offered from 6:00 A.M. until 10:00 A.M in the hotel lounge. If you’re hungry for lunch or dinner, you can visit the hotel’s Magnolia Restaurant, which is set in another building just down the street. The restaurant is open 24-hours a day and offers a diverse selection of dishes, including meat, poultry, seafood, pastas, and desserts. Room service is available as well.
The Magnolia Restaurant is located within the same building as the hotel’s casino. The Casino Club Colonial is one of downtown San José’s largest and most elegant casinos. It has a number of exciting and entertaining games.
Business travelers will appreciate the hotel’s business center and meeting rooms. There is also a gym, souvenir shop, and onsite parking.
The hotel was nice and clean. The Wi-Fi wasn't the greatest. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was great and the server was excellent and appeared to really enjoy his job.
