Escazú is located 7.5 miles (12 km) from San José. It has a trendy, laidback feel and offers travelers a pleasant way to experience Costa Rica’s Central Valley. It has tons of restaurants, cafés, boutiques and shops, including the country’s largest shopping center, the Multiplaza. There are places to see movies and go golfing, as well as cultural attractions, including colonial-era town squares.
