Your bilingual guide will explain the historic and cultural aspects of the sites and lead you inside a few of the most noteworthy attractions. This tour begins at the Museum of Costa Rican Art, which is inside the leafy La Sabana National Park. You'll get to sip on a welcome drink as you get ready for an educational look at the city.
You'll learn about Costa Rican history at stops like the National Monument and the Golden Room in the Museum of Costa Rican Art – these stops take you all the way from ancient times to the 19th century battle for independence. There are several guided walking tours and a look around the grand lobby of the National Theater. In total, you'll stop at 25 monuments.
On the bus, you'll have access to the Wi-Fi. A folk band will serenade you as you cruise along the capital's busy streets. Come ready to do a little shopping — this tour comes with a stop to explore the Central Market, where you'll have the chance to browse local art and handicrafts.
At the conclusion of the tour, you'll stop for dinner. You'll eat at a popular restaurant where you'll try a typical Costa Rican meal. Afterward, you'll hop back on the bus one more time for the ride back to your hotel.
Many of our tours and activities offer transportation pick up & drop off options from several locations and destinations. Options vary by tour, see “BOOKING REQUEST” for full details.
Last minute add on and ended up being a great evening. The guide was tremendous and it was great learning more about this beautiful country's history, politics and people on our last night there.
