Rappelling

During this tour, you’ll rappel down a 90-foot rock wall into a beautiful river canyon. It’s an exciting way to experience Costa Rica’s beautiful outdoor areas.

This rappelling tour takes place in the Sarapiquí River canyon, where you descend down a large wall and enjoy spectacular views of the Sarapiquí and Pozo Azul rivers. Before you get started, you’ll learn the basics of rappelling and receive safety instructions.

Every rappel is assisted by two guides—one managing the safety line and the second belaying the main line. The equipment is high quality, and the guides are trained and professional. This assures absolute safety while rappelling.

During your first descent, you can have a guide descend alongside you. You may repeat the rappel up to three times and can go solo if you feel inclined. You can also rappel at other locations on the Hacienda property (such as from a canopy platform). The tour includes fruit and water, and the minimum age is 12 years old.
